Dance

​Modern This class will explore movement ideas from Modern and Contemporary Dance using technique, improvisation, artistry, somatic practices, and individual expression. We will focus on alignment, use of breath, muscular ability and tension release, floor work, the body’s physicality, and performance. Through this class you will have the chance to kinesthetically explore your relationship to your own body, the space around you, and the movement in your world through a variety of experiences.

​​Ballet/Barre inspired A class designed to strengthen and stretch the body with isometric exercises stemming out of the Ballet vocabulary at the Barre, and also some techniques used in the Barre method workout. We will work the major muscle groups in the legs and arms, and we will also focus on ways to release muscle tension in the body by finding movement in the spine.

Yoga

Vinyasa Flow - ​An all levels class that is also beginner friendly. Focuses on linking movement and breath while incorporating longer holds and alignment instructions to create a dynamic practice.This fun, engaging class explores the fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga including: breath, sun salutations, standing poses, balancing postures, seated and reclining poses, backbends, core isolation, and strengthening. Special emphasis is placed on moving into and out of postures safely, proper alignment, utilizing the breath, and learning to quiet the chatter of the mind and find peace and inner stillness. You will discover ways to increase the flexibility and length in your body and also build strength and movement efficiency.
